Hi, I’m Ebonie.

Hi, I’m James. We are Training and Learning Designers here, at the Centre for Digital Public Services.

We're going to be the trainers with you throughout your course.

Welcome to Agile fundamentals for Teams.

In this course, we will:

  • explore the differences between a project and product mindset.
  • We'll then evaluate different Agile delivery frameworks. This will enable you to consider which approach is best suited to your context.
  • We'll look at a range of techniques to enable you to build a product backlog.
  • And we'll then use this to begin to plan a delivery cycle.
  • We'll dive into the different people that make up a multi-disciplinary team. Focusing on the different roles and responsibilities.
  • And we'll finish by exploring practical tools to create a positive working environment.

We have divided the course into 5 modules. Each contains a mix of bite-sized videos, articles, quizzes and activities. You can work through these at your own pace. You will have the opportunity to learn something, apply it to your context and reflect on the impact. So we recommend completing one module per week.

We estimate that on average, it should take around 1 to 1.5 hours per week to complete the activities.

You will need to complete the pre and post course knowledge checks. These will measure your progress and generate your badge of completion.

Task

Complete the knowledge check. This will give us an insight into your current level of understanding.
