In March 2024, Centre for Digital Public Services achieved the Carbon-Conscious Website Accreditation from the Eco-Friendly Web Alliance after completing the website audit ‘What’s my website’s impact on the planet?’.

Our website on average emits less than 1 gram of CO2 per page view, and takes accountability for our carbon emissions, going beyond the estimated carbon footprint for the year.

Our website is also hosted on a server that is powered by 100% renewable energy and is part of the Green Web Foundation.

This accreditation highlights our leadership in digital sustainability. We are committed to not only reducing average carbon per page view of our website but also taking responsibility for its carbon footprint.

Everyone at Centre for Digital Public Services is thrilled to receive the Carbon-Conscious Website Accreditation and we’re proud that our website is accredited by EFWA, as we take responsibility for our digital presence.

The carbon footprint of the internet is growing exponentially, and we are proud to be part of the solution. The Eco-Friendly Web Alliance is working with organisations around the world to help them lead the way to a more sustainable digital world tomorrow, and we're excited to be part of this journey with our new accreditation.

About Eco-Friendly Web Alliance

Eco-Friendly Alliance (EFWA) is an award-winning social enterprise with a vision to make a positive impact on the environment. The internet, a seemingly ubiquitous aspect of modern life, has a significant carbon footprint, contributing to 3.7% of global emissions – a figure comparable to the aviation sector. EFWA’s mission is to work towards a greener internet by empowering website owners to take action and reduce their environmental impact.

EFWA’s goal is to build on their global movement for a cleaner and greener internet with ‘1 million carbon- conscious websites by 2030’, including both new websites that are necessary and helping convert existing ones to be low-carbon and high-performing, contributing to the battle against climate change.
