The Wales Data Leaders Network is made up of data leaders from Welsh Government departments, local government, health and devolved public bodies including ourselves. The aim of the group is to improve how data is managed, used and shared in order to achieve the data and collaboration mission in the Digital Strategy for Wales.

While this group is responsible for developing strategy, there is also a need to bring people from across the public together to discuss common data issues that we’re all facing.

Data Cymru are leading on this and exploring the possibility of setting up a number of communities which could focus on specific areas such as ethics, visualisation and data sharing.

Can you help shape these communities? The Data Cymru team want to hear from you on the following questions:

  • are there any specific data communities you think we need?
  • what data groups or communities are you aware of that already exist?
  • what data communities should we focus on setting up first – perhaps give us your top three?
  • would you be willing to facilitate a data community? If so, which one?

Please send your responses to suzanne.draper@data.cymru
