Overview
The Centre for Digital Public Services (CDPS) was established in 2020 as an arms-length body of Welsh Government to help deliver the Digital Strategy for Wales, with a focus on Mission 1: digital services.
We support people, teams and organisations to create sustainable digital transformation, and make public services:
- designed around the people who use them
- simple, secure, and convenient
- accessible, inclusive, and cost-effective
By applying user-centred design and agile ways of working, we help teams build public services that work for everyone in Wales.
Our values
How we work
Lasting change happens through partnership and collaboration.
We work alongside public organisations to create sustainable digital transformation. Our multidisciplinary teams provide expertise and hands-on support in:
- service and product delivery
- service, content, and interaction design
- user research and communication
Governance and reporting
Our strategy
Our 3-year strategic plan (2023 to 2026) sets out 6 priorities to strengthen digital public services in Wales:
- influence the digital agenda for Wales
- work with organisations to do things differently
- grow modern (digital, data and technology) capability and skills in the Welsh public sector
- embed standards and guidance
- develop shared products and services
- run a great CDPS
Governance reporting
We’re committed to good governance, transparency and accountability in delivering better digital public services in Wales. For this reason, we publish:
- reports showing our progress, impact, and key achievements
- board minutes and committee reports detailing key discussions and decisions
