Overview
In this blended learning course, you’ll learn to use Agile basics with your team through online group sessions led by our trainers and complete tasks to apply what you’ve learned to your own context.
Who this course is for
This course is aimed at teams who:
- work in the Welsh public sector delivering devolved services
- are around 6 to 12 people in size
- work together on the same project, product or service
- are made up of different roles
- are new to Agile ways of working
Cost
This course is funded by the Welsh Government and is free for those who work in the Welsh public sector delivering devolved services.

How it works
You’ll be involved in 5 live online training sessions, each lasting 3 hours, where you can:
- learn from your trainers
- engage in practical activities
- complete tasks to support your learning and prepare you for each session
- ask your trainers questions for clarity and guidance
- provide feedback at any time to share your thoughts as you go along
- get advice from your trainers on what to do next based on your own context
What you’ll learn
In this course, you’ll learn how to:
- prioritise work with a user-centred approach
- apply Agile ways of working in your team
- explore ways to create a supportive work environment
At the end of the course, you’ll understand how to:
- explain the differences between a project and product mindset
- evaluate different Agile delivery frameworks
- build a product backlog
- create user stories
- plan a delivery cycle
- explain the purpose and focus of each Agile event
- explain the roles and responsibilities within a cross-functional team
- explain the importance of creating an environment for people to do their best work
