In a recent email to public sector CEOs, the Future Generation Commissioner said “In this time of budget challenges, it is important we avoid short-term, sticking plaster solutions as we know this will only serve to store up problems for the future. Instead, we must continue to follow the direction of the Well-being of Future Generations Act.”
At the Centre for Digital Public Services (CDPS) we’ve been having similar conversations with public sector leaders about the importance of continuing to invest in public services, so they are designed around the needs of current and future generations and for digital to be seen as an enabler to help deliver on priorities.
We’d like to invite you to a joint networking event with the Commissioner, Derek Walker, to explore this further and to discuss how we can support you in these challenging times.
We’ll also hear from Rebecca Godfrey, Chief Strategy Officer at the Welsh Revenue Authority, who will give us an insight into how they are developing user centred public services.
