The Centre for Digital Public Services (CDPS) are hosting an evening panel event in Cardiff, for senior public sector leaders to explore the critical topic of digital accessibility and its impact on public services in Wales.
This event follows our recent discovery into the state of accessibility in Welsh public services, which uncovered significant challenges, including:
- a lack of accountability for meeting accessibility regulations
- gaps in skills and training across organisations
- ambiguity around leadership responsibilities
- accessibility not being prioritised at senior levels
Our distinguished panel of speakers will emphasise why accessibility should be seen as a people-first priority rather than just a compliance task.
Speakers include:
- Rhian Bowen-Davies, Older People’s Commissioner for Wales
- Joanna Goodwin, Head of User-Centered Design, Centre for Digital Public Services
- Martyn Jones, Wales Committee Interim Chair, Equality and Human Rights Commission
- Jack Garfinkel, Content Designer, Content Design London
