'What does good look like?' with Tracey Bell, Head of Digital Planning, Planned Care and Community at Swansea Bay University Health Board

Background

The Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (HEPMA) has effectively replaced paper medication charts across secondary care settings in Swansea Bay University Health Board, with a highly accessible digital alternative. The system reached a new milestone in April and is now accessible across all adult inpatient medical and surgical wards in scope at Morriston, Singleton, Gorseinon and Neath Port Talbot hospitals. HEPMA has also successfully been implemented across all mental health sites with the learning disabilities implementation scheduled for August 2024, subject to a successful upgrade with enhanced functionality.

What this session will cover

This session will provide a reflection of our implementation approach and will cover the successes, challenges, benefits realised to date, as well as a picture of where we are, and our lessons learnt. There will be a focus on how the implementation engaged with the people, process, and technology.
