Digital and Agile: the foundations

Hi, I’m James. We are Training and Learning Designers here, at the Centre for Digital Public Services. 

We're going to be the trainers with you throughout your course. 

Welcome to Digital and Agile: the foundations. 

In this course, we will cover the following: 

• what we mean when we talk about "Digital" 
• the benefits that digital brings, especially when we adopt a user-centred approach 
• a comparison of two popular delivery approaches; Waterfall and Agile 
• a tool to help you decide which approach is best for your context 

This is a pre-recorded course which allows you to learn at your own pace. This means all of the content is available to you immediately. You can work through it at any time. It contains a mix of bite-sized videos, articles, quizzes and practical activities.  

We estimate that on average, it should take around 1.5 to 2.5 hours to complete the course. 

As you work through the tasks, there will be opportunities to apply your learning to your role. 

You will need to complete the pre and post course knowledge checks. These will measure your progress, which is needed to earn your badge of completion.
