CDPS provides four main services – there’s something for everyone working to improve digital public services.
Meet the Digital Service Standards for Wales
We’ve created 12 Digital Service Standards for Wales to help you design digital services that are inclusive and easy to use.
Following them will ensure your services are designed around the needs of the user, that you choose the right technology and have the right people involved at the right time.
We can advise you on how to implement these standards in your organisation to prioritise service improvements. We have also set up a Digital Standards Working Group who curate existing guidance and standards from across other sectors, countries and government departments and make it relevant to Wales.
Learn digital skills
Digital skills levels are low across the public sector.
We offer interactive training courses and bitesize learning to build confidence and capability.
Our training courses have been co-designed with public servants in Wales, and are aligned with the Digital Strategy for Wales and the Digital Service Standards for Wales.
We also offer informal learning opportunities, like lunch and learns and webinars.

Connect with other digital professionals
Peer support and the opportunity to share, learn and connect is invaluable. Our communities of practice are a safe space to do this.

Design and improve digital public services
We can support you to design a new service or improve a current one. Our collaborative approach involves forming one team, with representatives from your organisation and ours.
We can help to clarify the problem or opportunity, where to start and identify the resources needed, while offering specialist training and ongoing support – including for senior leaders. We can also support with guidance on effective procurement and recruiting digital skills.
We have lots of resources on our website including templates, toolkits and recordings of our past events, allowing you to delve into valuable content at your own pace.
